Sarah Palin Will Win Over Evangelicals

John McCain is not a heavy favorite among Christian conservative voters. I dare say Christian conservatives are having a hard time during this election season. Despite attempts to sway the conservative voters McCain in seen in many circles as more of a moderate conservative, and the Christian community historically doesn’t embrace lukewarm. Enter Sarah Palin as the Vice presidential candidate to McCain’s White House bid.
Palin is a just what the doctor ordered for McCain. Conservative Christians would say the 44-year-old devout born-again evangelical and mother of five is answered prayer and she may well be for McCain’s campaign.
Palin chose to have her fifth child even though she knew the child would be born with Down’s syndrome. This act alone reinforces her stance on abortion and speaks volumes to the Christian Community. I suspect protestant preachers all over America were singing her praises to their congregations on Sunday and at least for now, gave them a reason for hope in this election. Strategically this is a brilliant move on the part of the McCain campaign as evangelicals everywhere will throw their support to the GOP.

Sarah Palin Chosen By John McCain

The selections have been made and soon the rhetoric will begin. Barrack Obama and Joe Biden or John McCain and Sarah Palin. Usually the first thought spin doctors throw out thought the media is, would you want him or her in this case to be one heart beat away from the White House and becoming president of the most powerful country in the world. That is closely followed by an examination of political experience each candidate brings to the table, and in this case the Democrats clearly have the lions share.

Many are surprised by the Palin choice and with good reason. She does have limited experience. So why was she chosen? A Obama aide was quoted as saying a “Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. Oh look the experience issue and heartbeat issue all in one statement. So this election is guaranteed to produce a first in American presidential history. America will have either a minority as President or a minority as Vice-president.
