Gas Prices And Hurricanes A Costly Combination

by admin on September 12, 2008

Gas prices are expected to spike on the news that Hurricane Ike is going to make land fall in Texas. Why is it every time a hurricane enters the Gulf of Mexico oil companies take advantage of the public? There should be some sort of law against that. Most of our oil comes form abroad yet we pay every time a hurricane gets close. I’m still waiting for gas prices to fall from Katrina. They never did come back from that one. Talk now is 5 bucks a gallon and if that happens you can be sure it wont come back down. Meanwhile Americans continue to struggle in an effort to stay afloat. Eventually many will be forced into bankruptcy court. It is amazing how one commodity, oil, so controls our lives. Systematically, drop-by-drop of precious oil our economy spirals further and further out of control. Is there anyone with an answer?
